Urban Tracker by Studio Motor
This custom Honda CBR250R was built by Indonesian outfit Studio Motor for a client whose passion for two-wheelers ran long, instilled into him at a very early age by his parents. Coincidentally, the traffic conditions in Jakarta might have also been a further deciding factor for Rakesh Kapoor.Coming in with this 2013MY 250cc Honda, the only brief was to have a scrambler style and a comfortable riding position to beat the daily urban grind.
At the front, the original shock is replaced with an upside down unit sourced from a Kawasaki XZ6, and combined with a rim spoke wheel and 18X3″ Deluxe Champion 4.00-18 Firestone rubber. The stock Honda CBR250R swingarm is retained at the rear, and accompanied by a 360 mm YSS Z-Series monoshock as well as TK Japan 18X3.50″ wheels shod with a Firestone Deluxe Champion 4.50-18 tyre.
To confirm with Rakesh’s vision of a Triumph Scrambler, Studio Motor cut and reshaped the entire subframe using 3.5mm pipes. The classic round 7″ headlight comes from a Suzuki Thunder 250, chosen for its macho appearance, while other goodies include a Stang Scarlet Fatbar, custom exhaust system, Daytona air filter and TK Japan chain.
Finally, Komet Studio painted and airbrushed the Urban Tracker according to Rakesh’s choice of colours, Burgundy Red and Khakhi Brown. Very classy, we must add.
