Suomy launched the new SR-SPORT helmet earlier in the year, which takes the mantle from the successful Excel. Technologically speaking, it represents what Suomy has learnt from its eight Superbike world titles; produced in Tricarboco, the special blend of fiberglass, Kevlar and carbon fibre, the SR-SPORT combines a greater safety to the lightness.

The thermoformed shield is antiscratch and antifog, in addition to its optical features, which means an additional antifog film is not needed. This is a very important aspect considering its intended use as a racing helmet with a tear-off set up. The talking point here is the awesome aero efficiency, tested in the wind tunnel and that too through simulation with a racing motorcycle. Full ventilation allows for reasonably pleasant use even if you’re under stress or use it at high ambient temperatures.

Priced at around 500 euros, the SR-SPORT is available globally since February.
