Bikers Café » Jumeirah Cruisin’
The first such event hosted by Bikers Café, Jumeirah Cruisin’ was a shout out to Dubai’s petrolhead fraternity. Attendance was by invite only, making for an exclusive event comprising a rich collection of elite supercars, delectable classics and exquisite custom bikes. It was literally a traffic stopper, with a staggering number of motorists on Jumeirah’s posh beach road either slowing down to a crawl or even parking their cars and popping over to the café to have a look at the awesome metal on display. Dubai Police also graciously accepted the invitation to the event, bringing along two of their newly acquired supercars, a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 and a Ferrari FF, both proudly done up in police livery. Other highlights of the show, apart from the custom bikes, included a pair of Ford GTs, McLaren MP4-12C, classics like the Corvette Stingray, BMW 6 Series E24, Porsche 993, golden oldies like the Mini Cooper and Volkswagen Beetle, modified muscle cars, pick-ups, hot rods and many more. Spectators were also treated to the latest Audi RS4 Avant and Jaguar’s new F-Type sports car.
It was a pleasant surprise to see such a huge turnout of spectators, especially as the event was not promoted, with even members of the automotive media, including our friends at Motoring Middle East, rushing in to cover the show. Part of the event’s charm was that it wasn’t hosted in a cordoned off area with entry restrictions, but an affair where spectators could come, see and enjoy some of Dubai’s best cars and bikes. Not only did Jumeirah Cruisin’ prove itself to be a great platform for an even bigger show in the future, it also helped Bikers Café reiterate its position as one of the best spots for Dubai’s petrolheads.
Jumeirah Cruisin’ was supported by Top Performance.
