Since their debut in 2011, Beijing-based Bandit9 has shown off quite a few bikes from the east, like Magnus, Nero and Hephaestus. Atlas is the startup’s latest addition to the family; an evolution on the Yamaha XVS 400, the goal of the build was to inspire other startups and new builders by building a sweet, well-engineered bike from a rather tattered foundation. Not everyone can afford a Triumph or a Harley and not everyone has access to shops where you can simply buy accessories. While we know that not everone can afford a Harley or a Triumph, it is these same limitations that Bandit9 believes can pave the way for art and invention.
