TCX has launched four new waterproof boots as part of its 2014 collection, with further new models being added throughout the year. The new boots are from TCX’s Racing and Touring Lines, as well as the new Urban Line, which has replaced and improved the previous All-Uses Line.

S-Speed WP
New from the Racing Line is the S-Speed Waterproof designed for both road and track use. It has interchangeable polyurethane front sliders and TCX’s Torsion Control System (T.C.S), which increases ankle protection. Comfort is ensured with a shaped malleolus padding with anatomical memory, as well as an interchangeable antibacterial footbed. The midsole has been constructed in a semi-rigid thermoplastic material to meet resistance in the event of crushing. The waterproof membrane offers maximum protection in wet weather, while the upper part is made from an exclusive ‘soft touch’ opaque microfibre.

Track Evo WP
The Track Evo WP has been designed to meet the needs of the growing adventure bike market and is also suitable for off-road and light endurance riding. The newly designed sole is highly wear resistant with a knobbed tread for maximum grip on all types of terrain. There is an elastic collar to fit the calf and stop dirt getting into the top of the boot and for fastening; there are three polyurethane adjustable buckles. For protection there is a reinforced polyurethane shin plate as well as thermoplastic inserts to the malleolus, toes and heels and a protective waterproof membrane.

X-Ride WP
Another new product from the Touring Line, the X-Ride WP, is dedicated to mid-range touring and urban commuting. The boot upper is shorter than other touring boots on the market and is made from soft microfibre and chamois, with padded front and rear folds to increase comfort and flexibility. There is a waterproof inner lining for use on wet days and the hardwearing sole with specially designed tread offers excellent grip in all conditions.

X-Rap WP
New from the Urban Line, the X-Rap looks like a casual shoe but offers high levels of protection, including full CE certification and a waterproof membrane. As with all of TCX boots and shoes the X-Rap also has a reinforced, malleolus toe and heel area, as well as a heat-formed footbed for increased protection. The sole is highly wear resistant. The laces go to the top of the boot for a precise fit and there is an ankle lock system.
