Caffe Corretto » Moto Morini 350 » Motoveloce
This sick Moto Morini 350, dubbed Caffe Corretto, comes from the spanking new UK-based workshop of Mark Robbins called Motoveloce. After he got hold of the 350, it took six long months for Mark to figure where to go with the design, till one day he decided on the cafe racer-ish route – cleaner and lighter – while still maintaing as much as possible of the original lines.
For the dash, Mark machined the riser mounts off the top triple-clamp and polished it, with the Motogadget Mini digital speedo and rev counter then fitted by D&C Engineering in Bude. The warning lights were made by drilling out button-head allen bolts and fitting coloured LED’s into the holes. A motogadget M-Lock keyless ignition is fitted to the top of the headlamp.
The frame, once it was cleaned up, received a Liquorice Brown powdercoat along with the original wheels, forks, master cylinder, brake discs and calipers, battery box, splash guard and other bits. Even the motor and transmission was stripped bare, with all internals overhauled with new components. The square front headlight adds to the Seventies look, with Mark still contemplating on the rear units, probably some discreet LEDs.
Danni Assemakis of Silverbird in Newquay was responsible for the gorgeous brushed bronze paintwork on the tank, side panels and front mudguard, while the beautiful seat was upholstered by TFI Motor Trimmers of Exeter.
