Shaw Speed and Custom teamed up with Bell & Ross watches to develop a one-off custom motorcycle based on FXSTB Softail Nightrain – the Bell & Ross inspired Nascafe Racer. Shaw Speed & Custom’s approach for Bell & Ross was to build a bike that was inspired by the watchmakers’ vision on performance, accuracy, and engineering. SS&C’s brief was to build a bike that reflected how the master watchmakers develop and assemble their watches.

The motorcycle chosen for the build was a Harley-Davidson Nightrain FXSTB. The bike was totally disassembled and every detail was taken into account for fabrication. A new rear swing arm was fitted, allowing the bike to accept a 240mm rear wheel and tyre, this was supplied by Performance Machine wheels. The hand built rear fender, exhaust exit and air scoops were inspired by the Bugatti Veyron. The modified Harley-Davidson gas tank with knee cut outs was used to give the bike a ‘Cafe Racer’ / ‘Nascar muscle’ look.

Other significant custom made parts for the project include a one off handmade exhaust system, bodywork, relocation of oil tank, battery and electrical components to front cowling. As a finishing touch Shaw Speed & Custom mounted the iconic Bell & Ross BR01 Carbon watch into the bikes centre console. This was achieved by handcrafting a section of aluminum and mounting it into the bikes fuel tank; the perfect position for the watches original function as a professional tool for the rider.
