Custom Honda C70 » Minority Motorcycles
While motorcycles were mostly used by cops and outlaws back in the day, the advent of Honda’s tiny Super Cub changed that to a large extent, enabling millions of people the world over to get on two wheels and enjoy the freedom. About 50 years on and 60 million units later, it’s a no brainer to look back and see what a revolution the Cub was. And then there is this, “The Eyes”, crafted by Minority Customs from Surabaya, Indonesia.
Stripped to the bare essentials – there is no chain guard, upright handle bars and big comfy seat – this little 1980 custom Honda C70 is mean and totally badass. At the rear, a new hard tail rear section was fabricated and widened to allow the addition of a relatively huge 130 rear tyre for that classic Bobber look. A slim bicycle seat shaves weight, as does the deletion of the fender. Adding to the minimalist look is a polished Springer front end with cut and reversed Honda Monkey bars, while the step-through frame was smoothed and de-tabbed before being repainted and “The Eyes” graphics applied.
Even the stock rims were replaced and re-laced using polished Yamaha DT Hubs, complemented by a suicide shifter, larger custom carburetor and a heat-wrapped straight-through exhaust.
