Custom Cafe Racer by Studio Motor » The Patriot
If you’ve seen Studio Motor’s stunning custom Yamaha Scorcrambler, you know the Indonesian custom outfit does some impressive work. Take a look at this beautiful custom cafe racer, which was built for a cafe racer enthusiast. While the owner initially planned for a Honda CB350 motor, it was a Buell XB12R mill that finally found its way into the project. And as you can see, the body almost seems to be built around the engine, rather than the other way round.
They are plenty of custom bits, including a set of Honda CF400SF-sourced 41mm telescopic forks at the front, with the rear benefitting from a set of 13″ Sportster shocks, which have been tweaked to complement a more aggressive riding style. Wheels are from TK Japan, wrapped in Coker Diamond tread tyres sized 18×4 at the front and 18×4.5 at the back. Retardation duties are handled by brakes fitted with Nissin cylinders. The custom motorcycle’s engine has been left alone, thanks to its solid internals and proven performance. Studio Motor has only added a custom air filter and exhaust system, which has more to do with improved acoustics than anything else.
Setting off the custom build is a gorgeous paint job by Comet Studio, resplendent in the colours of the Indonesian flag. Nice, no?
