Virginia-based MotoHangar make some beautiful machines, and we have featured their custom Yamaha SR500 before. This one is a streetfighter though, a frame-off restoration based on a 1991 Honda CBR600 F2, and benefits from the builder’s Moto1 package, which essentially gets you a mechanically sound motorcycle with custom seat, tail fairing, handlebars, painted fuel tank, tail and wheels, and other minor mods.

This particular bike is treated to new wheel bearings, steering stem bearings, stainless steel braided brake lines, function bottle overflow resivoir, custom fiberglass belly pan, custom subframe brackets to mount an aluminium subframe from an F4i, F4i tail fairing, custom undertail with bullet taillights, custom tach gauge headlight with projector bulb, speed holes drilled in brake levers, shortened Yoshimura muffler and heat-wrapped headers. Completing the build is the gorgeous Bahama Blue paint, accentuated with gold metal flake wheels.

Here is a bit of back story on the F2, which replaced the F1 and was made from 1991 to 1994. Considered one of Honda’s most modern and innovative sport bikes when it was released, the F2 was not only better-looking and faster than its predecessor, it also offered impressive balance and handling characteristics for the time; so much so, that the F2 is still widely ridden and raced even today. It’s a winner whichever way you look at it. And MotoHangar just sweetened the deal.
