Custom Harley-Davidson ‘Fat Tracker’
This sweet custom Harley-Davidson Fat Tracker started life as a 2009 FLHR Road King, before making its way into the hands of Hal’s Harley-Davidson in New Berlin, Wisconsin in 2013. The idea was to craft something that wasn’t a bagger, bobber or chopper, and so the team ended up making a tracker, or a fat tracker in this case.
The 1750cc flat tracker receives a Silver Moon crankshaft, modified flywheel, Revolution performance heads, CP pistons, 598 cams and a Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle cam plate, while the hand-fabricated, stainless steel exhaust system is made in-house with Supertrapp silencers. Also one-off are the modified FLHX fuel tank and inverted side panels.
The mounts were moved forward by two inches to fit the FLHR frame, with the latter itself benefitting from a new aluminium subsection replacing the stock unit. The mono-shock rear comes from a Buell 1125R, while the front suspension was replaced with a set of 2013 V-Rod forks. The belt drive has been swapped out for a chain drive, the headlight was replaced with an LED fitted number plate and a classic flat tracker tail section was fabricated from aluminium.
