Jay Leno’s Garage » Mission RS
Mission Motorcycles president Mark Seeger stops by Jay Leno’s Garage with his groundbreaking halo product, the limited production RS superbike. Among the world’s most advanced limited production electric motorcycles, the RS features a 120kW (160hp) electric motor integrated with proprietary Mission Motorcycles InfiniteDrive, a powertrain offering impressive levels of control and performance. Only 40 of these stunning bikes will be built, rather hand-made, in the USA.
Devoid of pistons, crankshaft, clutch, and other mechanical parts rotating at thousands of rounds per minute, the Mission RS creates a new dynamic in handling and control—what can only be described as a pure motorcycle experience. Without the inertial forces created by hundreds of heavy spinning engine parts, the Mission RS drops into corners like no other motorcycle, while providing 163Nm of torque available from zero revs.
The fully digital instrument cluster supports integrated GPS, Bluetooth, an integrated image-stabilized HD camera, and head-up display integration. Seamlessly integrating turn-by-turn navigation, communications, controls, track mode, and ride telemetry data, MissionOS rewrites the current expectations of motorcycle and rider interaction. With free automatic over-the-air updates, Mission Motorcycle owners will receive new features and capabilities as a stream of new updates and continual improvements.
The custom chassis is designed by James Parker, while the award-winning industrial design was penned by Tim Prentice of Motonium.
