Okay, so this video is more than two years old, but you have to see it if you haven’t already. Nothing wrong in watching it again either! Brit biker Andy Carlile pits his modified Yamaha YZF-R1 against the infamous Nurburgring Nordschleife, and pulls off a stellar 7min 10sec bridge to gantry during public hours, which translates to about 7min 28sec for a full flying lap or just 7min 24sec for an ‘industry’ lap. The R1 is road legal, and fitted with Dunlop trackday rubber and lightweight carbon wheels. British suspension experts Nitron helped Andy set up the suspension.
