It takes a whole year to prepare for one week of racing each year in Utah’s west desert home of the Bonneville Salt Flats. All your preparation and hard work comes down to seven days to put up or shut up and go faster than anyone else has ever gone before. You then start all over again and go for it next year no matter if you succeed or fail. The quest to go faster is an obsession like no other. There’s no money on the line, no TV cameras, no big crowds, no fame or fortune, only your name next to a number, which very few people will ever read.
