Custom Yamaha TR1 ‘Fireball’
Based in Lombardia, Italy, Plan B Motorcycles is a neo-cafè workshop, where ideas take shape into one-of-a-kind machines. Mixing a love for classic styling and the constant search for improved performance means that every project is a new trip, and every bike is made exploring different shapes and materials, mixing technology with tradition. The handcrafted motorcycles are created around the rider, like an old-fashioned, tailored suit.
Take this custom Yamaha TR1 for instance. Based on the Japanese market XV920R, the bike was sold in Europe with a 980cc displacement and, thanks to more successful sales, it soldiered on through 1986. Dubbed ‘Fireball’, the custom TR1 receives numerous one-off components, including the fuel tank, seat, handlebars, rear sets, modified rear sub-frame and custom exhaust system. A rear mono suspension, inverted front fork, Harley-Davidson V-Rod headlight, and rear seat cowl make for one aggressive café racer, don’t you think?
