MV Agusta Scrambler » Viba Motor
We’ve been seeing a resurgence of the scambler lately, with companies like Ducati and Triumph offering stylish examples with numerous customization options. Even top-shelf builders are offering their unique interpretations, complete with uprated performance, hotter looks and, of course, an inflated price tag. Which is where French manufacturer Viba Motor comes in with their sprightly and relatively affordable MV Agusta scrambler.
A designer by trade, and running his own successful company, Yann Bakonyi’s latest venture works in tandem with a handful of fine French craftsmen. Dubbed Lara 800, this Brutale 800-based scrambler is limited to just 23 examples. The distinctive body comprises of LED lights all round, a handcrafted, one-piece aluminium fuel tank, custom seat (supported by a new rear frame) slathered in memory foam and expensive blue leather, carbon-fibre front and rear fenders, black powdercoated frame and triple trees, and much more.
Further weight is trimmed away by using a lightweight lithium-ion battery, aluminium foot controls, risers and radiator guard, while the stock headlight surround is replaced with a Delrin plastic unit. The custom 3-into-1 exhaust is complemented by a Zard muffler.
43mm Marzocchi or optional Öhlins are on duty at the front end, while the rear gets a custom center-mounted ELKA coil-over shock. Beringer 4- and 2-piston machined monobloc discs and AeroTec calipers take care of braking duties. The 17″ Borrani M-Ray.9 wire wheels are shod with Avon TrailRider rubber.
Prices start at 32,310 euros without any taxes, which is around 135,000 dirhams. But the question is, will you be among the lucky 23?
