Wasted Years » Husqvarna Dirtbike
You might have already seen Lorenzo Buratti’s awesome Bol d’Or chair and the Ducati Pantah workstation, but this is on a different league altogether. Inspired by the Bonneville Speed Week 2015, the Italian crafts a custom based on a cheap Husqvarna dirtbike.
We’ll let him do the talking.
“Wasted Years”, is not only my favourite Iron Maiden song, it is also a common opinion sometimes I had to fight against. So many people think that, who believe in dreams, waste his time on crazy ideas that will lead to nowhere. This bike wants to be a tribute for all the people who believe in something, to people who put ideas and real soul in life and maybe not so much money. Donor bike is a 1999 Husqvarna dirtbike, a cheap used two-stroke with a lot of horsepower. A big dream in mind, Bonneville Speed Week 2015, on the salt lake of Utah. The bike is so simple, it is long, low and light, nothing more to say. Budget is for sure too low to beat speed record in the 350cc class, but you know, people like me like this way, an old bike to work on, a little garage and a crazy idea about it…
