Emirates Drifting Team joins Gulf Bike Week 2015
More action-packed displays have been confirmed for the Maxxis Live Action Arena at the coolest motoring show to hit the UAE. Known throughout the region for its unrivalled bike activations and stunts, this year Gulf Bike Week is gearing up by working with Al Futtaim Auto Centers and Toyota Emirates Drifting Team to give us a show that you don’t want to miss.
Led by popular national drifter Ahmed Al Ameri, the Emirates Drifting Team is the UAE’s most accomplished drifting team of its kind, and they will be putting on some incredible displays both on their own and with newly confirmed stunt riders of Gulf Bike Week 2015.
This year, The Maxxis Live Action Arena will be bigger and better than ever before – the space will see a whole host of live stunt entertainment for guests as they soak up the atmosphere at the Dubai Autodrome. Musician, bike enthusiast and passionate entertainer MC Bass will be providing us with non-stop commentary on everything throughout the show.
The first on the list of impressive professional names to hit the Maxxis Live Action Arena is Red Bull street bike rider – Shadi Al Dhaheri – Shadi was made Saudi’s first pro rider in 2007. After years of both raising horses and enjoying marathon horse racing, Shadi’s passion for stunt biking began when he bought a Suzuki GSXR 750 only two years before he became a regionally-recognised professional rider.
This year, Gulf Bike Week regular Julien Welsch returns after finishing with gold and silver medals in his European drifting competitions and taking part in multiple worldwide stunt events. Sponsored by Skull Cycles, Julien is set to bring us even more exciting displays and unique stunt bike tricks at this year’s action-packed show.
Last but not least, custom-made Supermoto Racing stunt riders have just been confirmed to join the impressive Maxxis arena lineup. Built from combinations of off-road motorcycles and road-racing wheels and tires, three times daily races with ‘supermotard’ bikes will no doubt get Gulf Bike Week guests feeling pumped up and exhilarated.
