This is “The Shine”, a custom cafe racer based on a Ducati Monster 795. Studio Motor built this 2013 Duc for an Indonesian Kustom Kulture event named Suryanation Motorland 2015. When they needed to make a custom motorcycle for the Iconic Bike segment, the Monster was a no-brainer thanks to its numerous modding options. We think Donny Ariyanto and crew have completely transformed the Italian, blending old school styling with modern technology and looks as good as its performance.

Starting with the frame, Studio Motor customized an original Monster sub frame to make way for a flat frame, a custom version they designed and built, scaled with only a single rider in mind. After the frame was done, the custom tank, rear cowl and headlight cover were hand fabricated from 1.2mm galvanized plate, while the seat was also crafted in-house.
The stock handlebar has been swapped with an aftermarket dragbar finished in polish chrome, with the original rims treated to a set of Michelin Pilot Road III rubber, 120/70-17 and 180/55-17, front and rear. Built in a span of just two weeks, “The Shine” also gets a custom-made end muffler sporting a vintage style reverse megaphone muffler.

Komet Studio was assigned the task of painting the finished Ducati Monster 795 in glossy red, accented with black and silver striping. Acknowledging the event, the name ‘Suryanation’ and event logo appear on the side of the tank and cowl.
