But no, Mario Markakis’ 1966 VW Beetle is powered by a turbocharged 1.3L 13B Wankel engine from a second-generation Mazda RX-7. An intercooler and an ECU upgrade later, the engine supposedly makes around 250hp, and also gets a big radiator, four disc brakes and a revised suspension. Neat!
