Yamaha recently gave their spanking new Star Bolt to 10 custom bike builders, letting them build whatever they wanted. A few days back, we showed you the custom from Doc’s Chops, the one that clinched the gold. This particular one, a ‘Dirt Track Concept’ by Jeff Palhegyi from JPD Customs is no less impressive, we might add. The man has built over 60 individual custom Stars for Yamaha, but this was his first Star Bolt.

While Jeff and his crew were initially going to add just dirt track wheels and bodywork, they soon realized that the steering head was too high and the swing arm too long, which was subsequently fixed. The stock tank was chopped down 2 inches, wile the tail was sectioned and got 2 inches added to it. Accompanying the lot are a Burns stainless exhaust system, Yamaha R6 forks, custom Penske dirt track monoshock, wheels from Dave at Jupiter wheel, Goodyear Dirt Track tyres, KC lights and a new aluminium front number plate.
