The ICON Art project is rooted in the same passion for classic design that drives ICON vehicle projects. Founder Jonathan Ward has amassed thousands of photographs focusing on the specific elements of great designs, taken at private collections and events around the world. Whilst they originally served merely as sources of inspiration, Jonathan has found a way to share these beautiful images by processing the the digital form and and reducing them to the purest expression, to capture the essence of the design. Then he hand draws the art based on the modified graphic.

Two series of ICON Art are offered – a limited edition run of aluminium pieces crafted in collaboration with experts Neal Feay. Each piece is CNC-ed to 0.5″ thick, 9 1/4″ x 13 5/8″ with an inset groove on the back for wall hanging, plus a blind tapped hole for desk mounting with the supplied stainless bolt. Then Neal Feay, by combining classic silk screening and anodizing processes in a novel fashion, fuses the black graphic into the brushed aluminium surface.

Also available are high quality 13 ½” x 20″ prints, produced in Los Angeles using vintage 1950’s press print equipment, on matte black paper with specialized matte silver ink.
