The internet is full of flying cats and multicoloured 8-bit weirdness, but all we really want to see is a game of one-upmanship, be it animals, men or machines. And so here we have the 300 horsepower Kawasaki Ninja H2R, the world’s fastest – track only – superbike, take on the Bugatti Veyron in a half-mile drag race. The latter apparently comes with a Super Sport tune that takes power output to 1200 horsepower.

In the second race, the supercharged Kawasaki takes on Godzilla, but not a stock one mind you. This one is a 1350 horsepower Nissan GT-R built by SP Engineering. Like the first standoff, this one too is a rolling start with an 80km/h start speed.
